  1. Worked like a charm. Thank you very much!

I have another question for you though. In excel, I'm using the formula DATEDIF. Do you know if Google has a replacement for this formula?

  2. Hi THRASHER:

Google spreadsheet does not have DATEDIF function ... however in Google spreadsheet you can use other function(s) to accomplish what you need to do.

  3. Yogi,
I'm needing to get the time between 2 dates. For example, cell A1 will have 10/19/2005 and cell B1 will have 10/18/2010. What is the formula in google spreadsheets to get the amount of days between the 2 dates? DAYS360 will not work because of it being based on a 360 day year. I need more of a to the day result.

    Thanks

  5. Lol. I just figured that out and was just fixin to post. I didn't realize it would be so simple in google spreadsheets. It was the last thing I tried. I guess next time I should start with the simple solution first. Lesson learned...maybe lol.

Thanks for your help and I will check out some of the other posts. I still have a ton to lear on Google spreadsheets.

    Thanks again.

  6. Hi THRASHER:

Computing the number of days between dates B1 and A1 using
    =B1-A1
is not special to Google spreadsheet -- this would work in any spreadsheet, Excel, OpenOffice, ...

  7. Hmmm. For some reason I could not get it to work in Excel 2003. That's why I ended up going with the DATEDIF formula. I must have looked at it wrong or something.

  8. Hi THRASHER:

I don't have EXCEL 2003 but I do have access to EXCEL 2000 -- why not check that again in EXCEL 2003 and tell us if it works for you now.

    Cheers!
