How to get the sum of last 5 not empty cells in a column in google spreadsheets?
Hello.

I'm quite new with google spreadsheet, more of a excel-guy..
Tried to Google a little but didn't quite find what I was looking for. So how is it done? And thanks in advance ;).

In the following solution to a bit more generalized problem I have assumed that the 5 last non blank entries may be TEXT or NUMERIc

  3. Hi, may I ask, whether it is possible to do the same function, but with the data in rows instead of columns (i.e. sum of last N non blank entries in Row A)?

    Thanks a lot!

  4. Hi Vojtech:

I have added a sheet 'Entries In A Row' to enhance the solution to meet your requirement.

  7. In this example it seems that the sum should be 21. The result seems to show the value of the 5th from the last non-empty cell?
