Is this possible? 

I have a table in the following format

Date | Category | Amount

12/1/2012 | Eating Out | 10.00

I need a formula that I can pass the Category and between two dates (>=12/1/2012,<=12/31/2012) and Category = "Eating Out".

I found some formulas using the sumproduct and arrayformula features, but I cannot get them to work.
