Why won't the spreadsheet sort? I select the sheet (upper left) and select DATA. The sorting options are not available. I've tried selecting specific rows, no luck. Accessing Google Docs in Chrome on WiIndows 7 PC.

Hi Yogi,

I am having this same issue with a few Google Forms and their attached spreadsheets.  It's not just me either but my team as well.

As you'll see, under Data, the sort sheet is greyed out and not accessible.

You answers above:

1) No, I did not because my team members are also having this same issue with similar forms/spreadsheets.
2) I'm using Firefox 16.0.2 but it also does not it on Explorer 8 at my office
3) Here's a copy of one that's not working:

Thanks for your help,
Nicole

The reason you can not sort Sheet1 of your spreadsheet  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjdYf2xwQKhZdFhHYjliVlZWYndTLWhRRFEzVHhPUmc
is because this is so called Form Responses sheet ... Google does not permit to you to sort this sheet because doing so would compromise the integrity of the data in the Form Responses sheet.

I suggest you create a sister sheet where you pull in the data from the so called Form responses Sheet and then sort the sister sheet using formula(s)

as I have done in the illustration presented herein
