Data validation or IF statement that populates a dropdown list in a cell, based on the value in another cell
I have a spreadsheet with two columns:

Col A = State
Col B = City

I want a data validation or IF statement so that Col B has a drop-down list that is based on the value in Col A.

For example...
If A2=California, then B2 should return a dropdown list with all the cities in California (i.e. Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, etc.)
If A3=New York, then B3 should return a dropdown list with all the cities in New York (i.e. Manhattan, Syracuse, etc.)

Help please!

  1. Hi Yogi, I am not finding where you are referencing Columns E and F?

I was hoping I could do the same but with a dropdown list using Data Validation. Can you help me?
